Primo libro a ripercorrere le vicende della celebre compagnia genovese, “The Costa Liners” celebra i primi cinquant’anni di navi passeggeri ad aver portato la famosa  C blu in campo giallo sul fumaiolo.
Ricco di dettagli frutto di una lunga e minuziosa ricerca d’archivio e di interviste, il volume è impreziosito da una poderosa iconografia di rare immagini di esterni ed interni delle prime porta emigranti. A ciascuna delle 25 navi passeggeri della Costa, dal Maria C. del 1946 all’allora nuova Costa Victoria del 1996, viene dedicato un ampio capitolo monografico, con i dettagli storici e tecnici, e numerose immagini relative alla vita dell’unità.

First book to trace the history of the well-known Genoa-based company, “The Costa Liners” celebrates the first 50 years of passenger ships which sported the famous blue C on a yellow-painted funnel.
Rich in data and curious details obtained from archival sources and personal interviews, the book is filled by numerous black and white pictures showing also the exteriors and interiors of the earlier migrant carriers. To each of the first 25 passenger ships of Costa, from the 1946 Maria C. to the 1996 Costa Victoria, is devoted a single chapter describing in detail the history and characteristic of the vessel.
